Humanitarians of Africa Awards Opens Nominations for 2026 Edition
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Humanitarians of Africa Awards, an annual pan-African recognition programme celebrating individuals and organisations whose work is creating meaningful change in communities across the continent.
Organised by Hexa Media Africa, the awards spotlight changemakers whose leadership, innovation, and commitment to service are advancing sustainable development and improving lives across Africa.
Now in its third edition, the Humanitarians of Africa Awards has grown into a platform that celebrates the people and organisations working behind the scenes to solve some of the continent’s most pressing challenges. From education and healthcare to climate action, technology, youth development, gender equality, and humanitarian response, the awards recognise those whose work is delivering measurable impact and inspiring others to act.
The 2026 edition features 12 award categories covering nonprofit leadership, social entrepreneurship, community development, innovation, advocacy, technology for good, and other areas of social impact.
Nominations are free and open to the public, with self-nominations also accepted. Eligible nominees must be based in Africa or actively serving African communities and demonstrate at least one year of verifiable impact aligned with one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Nominations will remain open until August 2026, while finalists will be announced ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled to take place in November 2026 during the Social Impact Marketing Summit.
