Abuja to Host WICAN Conference 2026 on Women’s Leadership and Career Development
Women professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders will gather in Abuja on Saturday, March 28, 2026, for the Women in Career Advancement Network (WICAN) Conference 2026, a professional development event designed to inspire women to move from vision to action in their careers and businesses.
The conference, convened by Eniola Peters, a human resources consultant and career development advocate, will take place at Bromley Events Place and Apartments, Abuja.
This year’s conference is themed “Dream. Dare. Do. Turning Vision into Action,” highlighting the importance of translating ambitions into practical steps that drive professional growth and impact.
The WICAN Conference has grown into a platform where women across industries come together to share experiences, gain practical insights, and build meaningful professional networks. Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and mentorship conversations, participants will engage in discussions focused on leadership, confidence building, personal development, and navigating career transitions.
The 2026 edition will feature an exceptional lineup of speakers, including:
- Nkwo Onwuka
- Dr. Seyi Abiodun, popularly known as Seyideassistant
- Abisayo Busari Akinnadeju
- Orifie Uyo
- Eniola Peters
These speakers bring diverse expertise across leadership, entrepreneurship, career development, and professional growth, and will share practical insights aimed at helping women navigate challenges and position themselves for greater impact in their careers and businesses.
According to the organisers, the WICAN Conference was created to address the need for intentional spaces where women can access mentorship, learn from experienced professionals, and build the confidence needed to pursue leadership opportunities.
Convener Eniola Peters noted that the vision behind WICAN goes beyond professional development; it is about building a community that supports women as they pursue their ambitions.
“Many women have powerful dreams and ideas for their careers, but turning those dreams into action requires courage, clarity, and the right support system. WICAN is about creating a community where women can dream boldly, dare to take risks, and take action toward the lives and careers they desire.”
The conference builds on the success of the 2025 WICAN Conference, which attracted over 200 women professionals and entrepreneurs in Abuja. The previous edition, themed “The Career Smart Woman,” featured conversations around workplace resilience, leadership development, emotional intelligence, and navigating complex professional environments.
Participants at last year’s event engaged in networking sessions, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing opportunities that helped strengthen a growing community of women committed to professional excellence and collaboration.
Beyond learning and mentorship, the WICAN Conference also provides opportunities for women-led businesses and initiatives to showcase their work, creating visibility and opportunities for partnership within the professional community.
As preparations continue for the 2026 edition, organisers say the conference will continue to encourage women to embrace leadership, support one another’s growth, and take bold steps toward achieving their professional goals.
With its focus on action and accountability, the WICAN Conference 2026 aims to leave participants inspired, equipped with practical strategies, and connected to a network of women who are committed to advancing together.
