Women Find Healing, Hope, and Sisterhood at Chayil Lady Ministry’s ‘Stronger Together’ Gathering

In a society where women are often expected to remain strong while quietly carrying the weight of life’s pressures, many find themselves battling pain, disappointment, loneliness, and exhaustion in silence. Yet behind the smiles and daily responsibilities are stories that are rarely told and burdens that are often carried alone.

The Chayil Lady Ministry set out to challenge that reality through its Stronger Together Gathering, an intimate event that created a safe space for women to encounter God, embrace vulnerability, and discover the healing that comes through authentic community.

Held in Abuja, the gathering welcomed women from different backgrounds for a morning of worship, honest conversations, prayer, reflection, and encouragement. Speaking at the gathering, Eniola Peters, Convener of the Chayil Lady Ministry, said the vision for Stronger Together was born from a growing conviction that too many women suffer in silence while trying to appear strong.

“One of the greatest lies many women have believed is that they have to carry everything alone,” she said.

“For years, women have been told to be strong. We have become experts at looking okay on the outside while quietly breaking on the inside. We smile, we serve, we care for everyone else, yet many of us have never been given permission to simply say, ‘I’m not okay.’

“Stronger Together was born from the belief that God never designed us to do life alone. Sometimes healing begins with a conversation. Sometimes it begins with a prayer. Sometimes it begins with one woman looking another in the eye and saying, ‘I’ve been there too.’ That is the kind of community we are building.”

The programme featured guided conversations, worship, prayer circles, personal reflection, and affirmations centred on identity, healing, and God’s unfailing love. Women were encouraged to release emotional burdens, reconnect with their faith, and embrace the strength found in genuine sisterhood.

One of the day’s most memorable moments came during an interactive reflection session, where participants realised that many of the fears, disappointments, and silent struggles they carried were shared by countless other women in the room. What many had believed to be deeply personal battles were, in fact, experiences shared by others who understood exactly how they felt.

The moment reinforced the gathering’s central message: healing grows in community, and no woman should have to carry life’s burdens in isolation.

As the gathering drew to a close, women prayed together, embraced one another, exchanged words of encouragement, and left with renewed hope, strengthened faith, and a deeper commitment to building authentic relationships rooted in Christ.

For many attendees, Stronger Together was more than a one-day event. It marked the beginning of a growing movement committed to creating spaces where women can encounter God, find emotional healing, cultivate meaningful friendships, and be reminded that they are never alone.
