Kids On Fire Brings Children & Teen Workers Conference to Ibadan for Second Edition
Following the first edition of its Children & Teen Workers Conference in Lagos, Kids On Fire is bringing the conference to Ibadan as it continues its focus on equipping the people responsible for teaching, discipling and raising the next generation.
The second edition of the Children & Teen Workers Conference will hold on September 25 and 26, 2026, at Davidic Generation Church, No. 7 Farayola Layout, behind Bodija Market, Ibadan, Oyo State, in collaboration with Catalyst Children Network International.
Themed “The Awakening” with the focus “Dressed for the Fight,” the conference is designed for children and teen workers, pastors, teachers, parents, ministry leaders and educators.
The event comes against the backdrop of a rapidly changing environment in which children and teenagers are navigating digital culture, social media, artificial intelligence, questions around identity and increasing pressure on their faith and values. The conference will create a space for those who work with young people to examine these realities and gain practical tools for responding to them.
According to the organisers, the two-day gathering will feature teaching, practical equipping, worship, prayer, activation, impartation and networking, with a focus on strengthening those who serve children and teenagers.
Ministering at the Ibadan edition are Gbemisola Agbato of Solid Teens and Youth Initiative, Yejide Ipadeola of Kids On Fire, Opeyemi Odunola of Graceful Oaks, and Julie Beemer of Club 1040.
The conference follows the inaugural Lagos edition held on June 20, 2026, which brought together children, teen and youth ministry workers, pastors, parents and teachers under the theme “The Awakening.” The Lagos edition featured ministers including Debola Deji-Kurunmi of Fire Brand Kids, Yejide Ipadeola, Becky Fisher of Kids in Ministry International and Gbemisola Agbato of Solid Teens and Youth Initiative.
Speaking about the need for continued investment in those who serve the next generation, Ipadeola said:
“We cannot afford to treat children and teen ministry as business as usual. The world our children are growing up in is changing, and those entrusted with them must also be willing to keep learning and growing.”
She added that the conference was created to equip, refresh and empower those serving children and teenagers with renewed vision and practical tools.
For Kids On Fire, the conference is part of a wider commitment to equipping not only children, but also the parents, teachers and ministry leaders who influence their development. The organisation’s work includes children’s ministry resources, books, devotionals, curricula, training and conferences designed to support those raising and discipling young people.
With the Ibadan edition, Kids On Fire is extending the conversation to a new community while continuing its call for those entrusted with the next generation to be equipped for the realities they face today.
