Air Peace donates 13 laptops, sponsors 20 students at KNOSK N100 a-day school

Nigeria’s leading airline, Air Peace, has made a significant investment in education by donating ₦10 million to sponsor 20 students for an entire school year and providing 13 brand-new laptops to enhance the ICT capacity of the KNOSK 100 Naira A-Day School in Kuje, Abuja.

The donation, delivered as part of the airline’s corporate social responsibility efforts, underscores Air Peace’s commitment to uplifting vulnerable children and strengthening access to quality education.

Speaking during the visit to the school over the weekend, the Chairman of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema, represented by the airline’s Communications Analyst, Hawau Alege, said the gesture was inspired by the desire to empower the next generation with both academic support and digital skills.

He emphasised that education remains one of the strongest drivers of national development, and reiterated Air Peace’s resolve to invest in initiatives that directly improve the lives of underserved communities.

Dr. Onyema also praised the school’s innovative model, describing the ₦100-per-day system as a practical and impactful solution to help disadvantaged children remain in school. He encouraged other corporate organisations and well-meaning Nigerians to support the initiative, stressing that transforming education requires collective action.

“Air Peace is glad and pleased to support a place like the KNOSK 100 Naira A Day School, where determination, hope, and hard work are persistent,” he said.

The KNOSK 100 Naira A-Day School, as reported by The Guardian, operates a charity-based model that provides access to quality secondary education for just ₦100 per day. Students receive books, uniforms, lunch, sanitary pads, and computer-based learning at this highly subsidized rate. Partners sponsor children at ₦80,000 per term or ₦240,000 per year.

By sponsoring 20 students at ₦240,000 each, Air Peace is ensuring that these children receive a full year of uninterrupted education, along with the basic tools they need to thrive.

Co-Founder of the school, Kingsley Bangwell, expressed deep appreciation for the support, noting that the laptops will greatly boost digital learning and reduce the challenges students face due to limited access to computers. He added that the year-long sponsorship will ease the financial burden on families, ensure children stay in school, and help sustain teachers’ salaries.

The school lauded Dr. Onyema for his compassion, generosity, and unwavering belief in education as a catalyst for both human and national development.
